Bees attack people in Peoria neighborhood
PEORIA, AZ - Police are investigating what may be an illegal bee operation in a Peoria neighborhood.
According to Peoria Fire Deputy Chief Rick Picard, three people were stung by the bees near 75th and Peoria avenues Tuesday afternoon.
"I was scared," said David Lawrence who was stuck once. He was riding his bike in the neighborhood when the bees came after him.
"I just kept riding my bike until they quit chasing me." Fire crews came to the scene and sprayed the bees with foam for several minutes.
Police are investigating what appears to be an illegal bee operation at the home.
As of now, it is considered a code violation. Bee's were still flying around and following people in the area for several hours after fire crews left the scene.
