Landscaper attacked by bees in Phoenix and was Hospitalized with multiple bee stings

A landscaper was admitted to a Phoenix hospital with life-threatening injuries after suffering multiple bee stings Thursday morning, according to Phoenix Fire Department officials.

The man, believed to be in his 30s, was working at a Phoenix home near the 3200 block of East Rose Lane when he disturbed a beehive about 8:30 a.m., Phoenix Fire Department Capt. Scott McDonald said.

The bees stung the man "multiple, multiple" times, McDonald said.

Firefighters believe the beehive had been nestled between the outside wall of the home and the home's roof, McDonald said.

Phoenix firefighters found the man in the front yard of the home and he was taken to an area hospital, McDonald said.

Firefighters were unable to immediately contact homeowners about the incident, McDonald said.
